Why I chose this piece: Despite being simplistic in its design, I found it charming and full of life. I love her facial expression and her lidded eyes; you don't see that too often in concept designs. The addition of her begrudgingly cuddling up with Quibble Pants was a cute and hilarious touch, and the pic of her daydreaming about Celestia shows that she is capable of being loving despite her regular appearance. I liked the variation of the blues in her mane; it wasn't too bright to make my eyes bleed but colorful enough to make it stand out against the dark gradient of her body. I chose this piece because I think it fully embodies the Fray I've come to know and love. I can see myself drawing her over and over again. Thank you for this wonderful piece.

Why I chose this piece: This person went above and beyond my expectations. The amount of detail put into every pixel was astonishing. The story, although short, was beautifully written. The color scheme was very thought out, and the poses of the ponies seemed very original. A+ work

Why I chose this piece: Choosing between the winner's submission and this one was extremely difficult. I love the originality of the colors, the mane, the cutie mark, and the armor. This one, however, didn't have much of a personality to work with like the winner's did. Although I like this color scheme more than the winner's, I fell in love with their pony's personality and overall feel. I liked the amount of detail added on to this piece, and a lot of hard work seemed to be put into this. If you would like to put this pony up for adoption (without the name of course) feel free. I wish there was more I could offer for you. I hope you find this critique to be fair, and I am extremely grateful for your contribution to my contest!
